Pano-assignment 4

I shot this pano of the city at night. I was really excited about the idea but i didn't execute it quite right. I used my tripod but i should have manually focused my images so that they would of been more in focus. My pano was 15 images, but only 3of them were overlapped enough so those are the only 3 i could use. also i needed to take my horizontal pano with my camera vertical. I did not do that either. sooo...in short i really like the idea i had but i need to reshoot. Also the night idea i had made it a lot more difficult.

6 hours TIME

I just shot my time assignment around my house. these images are not great. when i was shooting this assignment one thing i focused on was using the macro focus. I tried to make sure that everything up close was sharp. I like the image of the flowers because it is really sharp, although it seems like a typical image everyone shoots once in their life. The image of the spiral staircase is a cool idea but i didnt use a tripod and so its blurry and out of focus.

Rhyming assignment

I chose to rhymn textures. three of my images fit together pretty nicely but the one of the sea shells doesn't rhymn very well with the others. focus is a problem with this assignment in a few of the images. I dont like these images very much and i think im going to reshoot if i have time.

Chien-Chi Chang

I thought this was a really interesting image. I read about Chien-Chi Chang and because he is an immigrant he likes to capture in portraits the relationships between people. I think he really achieved that here.

Geisha

when we were in japan we saw apprentice geisha like these. It was crazy! anyway just thinking back to japan memories i thought this should be put up on my blog

Shomei Tomatsu

seeing how i was just in Japan i looked up some japenese photographers and Shomei-Tomatsu's work really stood out to me. I love this image of his. Usually i dont like when the main subject is out of focus but i really like this, it puts emphasis on the rest of the image. i love how he uses his space in this image and the light is really great to.

Gary Winogrand

even though we haven't had a assignment that deals directly with light yet it is one aspect of images that i love. I think light makes the image. I want to try and incorporate light into our other assignments. i love this image and the way Winogrand uses the light
i have been gone sladenator but no worries im shooting tonight and this weekend!!
