final project explanation
for my final project i wanted to shoot panoramas becuase i was determined to become good at shooting them. our first pano assignment completly crashed and burned for me but i reshot it and really began enjoying shooting them. i knew i wanted to shoot panos for my final project but i wanted to somehow make them interesting. i decided that it would be cool to have a certain point of interest in every pano so i chose mac becuase shes such a good little model. I struggled at first and had to keep reshooting but evetually i started getting the idea and interesting images. I feel like i should of shot all the panos of mac doing daily activities that she does so that the story would of gone together better. i really like my other images but they dont all tell a story, which i realize. So the one thing i would improve is making them fit better together.

Pano-assignment 4

I shot this pano of the city at night. I was really excited about the idea but i didn't execute it quite right. I used my tripod but i should have manually focused my images so that they would of been more in focus. My pano was 15 images, but only 3of them were overlapped enough so those are the only 3 i could use. also i needed to take my horizontal pano with my camera vertical. I did not do that either. sooo...in short i really like the idea i had but i need to reshoot. Also the night idea i had made it a lot more difficult.

6 hours TIME

I just shot my time assignment around my house. these images are not great. when i was shooting this assignment one thing i focused on was using the macro focus. I tried to make sure that everything up close was sharp. I like the image of the flowers because it is really sharp, although it seems like a typical image everyone shoots once in their life. The image of the spiral staircase is a cool idea but i didnt use a tripod and so its blurry and out of focus.

Shomei Tomatsu

seeing how i was just in Japan i looked up some japenese photographers and Shomei-Tomatsu's work really stood out to me. I love this image of his. Usually i dont like when the main subject is out of focus but i really like this, it puts emphasis on the rest of the image. i love how he uses his space in this image and the light is really great to.
